Everything is first and foremost about encounters. Throughout my career, my various practices have been more cumulative than successive. Some have helped to shed light on others. Interpretation brings me to share and translate sensations while finding ways to explore somebody else’s world. Teaching forces me to identify and synthesize tools and elements of research. Improvising is a matter of instinct and experience, which requires a balance between listening and acting. For a long time, performing and teaching fulfilled my desire to create. In the last decade, this same desire has manifested itself differently. Choreography has become a vehicle for expressing the relationship between the individual and the world, more particularly the part played by the surface of the body, that sensitive interface between what vibrates both inside and out.

- Marc Boivin[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row unlock_row_content=”yes” row_height_percent=”100″ overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ shift_y=”0″][vc_column column_width_percent=”100″ expand_height=”yes” style=”dark” back_image=”54661″ overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ medium_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text_weight=”100″ text_color=”color-xsdn”]Interpretation[/vc_custom_heading][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_row_inner row_inner_height_percent=”50″ overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”1″ shift_y=”0″][vc_column_inner column_width_percent=”100″ position_vertical=”bottom” expand_height=”yes” style=”dark” gutter_size=”3″ back_image=”54688″ overlay_alpha=”50″ medium_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1/1″][vc_custom_heading text_weight=”200″ text_color=”color-jevc”]Improvisation[/vc_custom_heading][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner row_inner_height_percent=”50″ overlay_alpha=”50″ gutter_size=”3″ shift_y=”0″][vc_column_inner column_width_percent=”100″ expand_height=”yes” style=”dark” gutter_size=”3″ back_image=”54686″ overlay_alpha=”50″ medium_width=”0″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ z_index=”0″ width=”1/1″][vc_custom_heading text_weight=”300″ text_color=”color-xsdn”]Choreography[/vc_custom_heading][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]

Interpretation-photo credit : Ginelle Chagnon/ Improvisation-photo credit: Jonathan Inksetter/ Choreography-photo credit: John Lauener

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]«Boivin, in particular, enlivened the space (…) In his long poses that are part of the choreography, he’s never […]
